Suffice to say, it had been quite some time since I last felt my back so exquisitely shredded! Though, now that I think about it, that may have less to do with the gruesomeness of my transformation and more with the fact that my back hasn't left my armor in several thousand years.
Well, nevertheless - that doesn't change that the event was rather bloody! I'm sure you've noticed that my wings are clawed. Like an egg tooth, those claws pierced my flesh from within, opening up a hole just large enough for my wings to begin to force their way out. Of course, the rest of those limbs aren't nearly so sharp, whatever the look of their feathers would have you believe; the way they ripped their way free wasn't nearly so clean. By the end of their bloody birth, my skin nearly hung free of the muscle below. Good that the fog keeps such wounds from being a nuisance from long, isn't it?
To be perfectly honest, the least pleasant part of it all was actually the itching. I certainly hope your scales make less of a wheedling irritant than sprouting feathers!
<e.grey>
but that was already there
i basically have the equivalent of 2nd degree burns over my entire body
which is pretty funny given that im immune to fire now
<aeternus>
That isn't nearly as exciting as I had imagined.

Did I tell you my wings grew whole under my flesh? They had to tear their way out once they were mature.
Re: <aeternus>
i wish i'd seen it
how bad were the injuries
