Oh, without a doubt.
Gilding works best when you're working with a complete skull. Anything as small as a tooth will lose its distinctive shape, and without that immediately recognizable shade of ivory, an untrained eye will take some time to realize just what it's looking at.

Trust me on this one. I've seen a lot of human body parts used for decoration in the last ten or eleven millennia.
